What is the ANSIM service?

ANSIM is a service that uses the infrastructure of the mobile phone operator NTT Docomo, Inc. for data communication and voice call communication.
By using the SIM card and smartphone provided by Asahi Net with the ANSIM service it is possible to have data and voice communication at a low cost.
Furthermore, customers using another mobile phone company for voice calls (e.g. au, Softbank, NTT Docomo) may transfer their phone number to ANSIM using Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and continue to use the same phone number with the ANSIM service.
ANSIM operates in the service areas of NTT Docomo's Xi* (LTE 4G) and FOMA (3G) services.
