FAQs

Q

The communication speed has dropped.

A
Please follow the steps below on a periodical basis.

Rebooting of connection devices
The performance of communication devices may decline when they are kept on for a long period of time. Please try rebooting your router, ONU (Optical Network Unit), HUB (splitter), device (computers, smartphones, tablets), to see if there is any improvement.
When you turn off your router, please wait for about 15 minutes before turning it back on.

If you are using wireless LAN
The situation may improve by changing the connecting frequency band. If your Wi-Fi is connected to 2.4 GHz radio wave band, the communication speed may decrease due to interference by the other radio wave. In that case, try reconnecting to 5 GHz radio wave band. For more details, please check the manual for wireless LAN device. If you are using more than one wireless LAN device, you can change the frequency band by reconnecting to other SSID (radio wave name of wireless LAN).

Checking the LAN cable connection
Try disconnecting the LAN cable and connect again. If you are using a long cable, please check to see if no furniture etc. is placed on top of the cable.

If you are using more than one device
Try connecting with other computer or tablet to see if the situation improves. If you see an improvement with other devices, the device may be causing the problem. Please contact the manufacturer of the device.
